Total weight gain: +33.6 lbs (0 lbs from last week)
How big is Baby Osborn: size of a bunch of Swiss chard (via Baby Center)
Sleep: daily afternoon naps, interrupted night sleep b/c I have to pee, weird dreams and Baby Boy kicks me all night long(!), pelvic pain makes it hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in
Movement: YES! It’s getting stronger everyday. Baby Osborn loves to flip, kick, roll, punch, jab and has crazy hiccups all day!
Food cravings: diet dr pepper
Gender: BOY!!
Symptoms: fatigue, cramping while running, tailbone pain when I sit in one place too long, charlie horses, gestational diabetes, hands & fingers are achy/numb/stiff, pelvic pain from Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction (maybe?), carpel tunnel syndrome *new*
Activity: walking dog
Best moment last week: Now that Baby Boy is almost here, Todd has been very excited, anxious and attentive. At least once everyday he talks to my tummy so that Baby Boy know that he can’t wait til he’s here. Even though I’m on the opposite spectrum (let him cook for as long as he wants!) I love hearing how excited Todd is to be a Daddy. Makes my heart happy. ♥

Best moment last week: I’m in the decorating phase of “nesting” so I am painting a little art for Baby Boy’s nursery. I haven’t painted anything in a long time so it was fun to get artistic again. And I love incorporating our first “baby”, our dog, Dorra, into the artwork.

Best moment last week: Getting Baby Boy’s clothes organized! I know that doesn’t sound very exciting but seeing the clothes in the dresser drawers instead of garage bags and boxes in the closet is making me happy. I’ll probably dedicate a whole post about it later but here are a few pictures until then…

Best moment last week: Baby Boy and I ran our last race together – Disneyland 10K – on Aug 31st at 7 months pregnant. I promised Daddy that this would be the last one b/c he was really worried but there was nothing to worry about! Baby Boy and I did great! We started slow by walking, enjoyed the company of BRF (Best Run Friend) and the Disney characters around the park and then ran the last 2 miles. And we got so many nice compliments on our “costume”!

Best moment last week: We bought our crib! I know it sounds silly for it to be THE BEST moment but I had my heart set on Ikea’s Gulliver Crib but when we tried to buy it weeks ago at Ikea Costa Mesa, the guy told me they were sold out all over Southern CA but I could try to buy it on online. So I went home and got on Ikea’s website but just couldn’t stomach paying $40 shipping fee! I called Ikea Customer Service to see if they would waive fee or ship to store for me but I got nothing! A few days later I finally just caved and decided to suck up the shipping fee and it was SOLD OUT online! *cry* I finally came to the realization I had to just look at another crib. Since we still needed to buy a dresser, we went to Ikea Carson and I happen to see the Gulliver crib as a floor model there. The tag on the crib said that they were OOS so I asked the guy if I could buy the floor model. Lo and behold, the guy checked the computer even though the tag said OOS and they JUST got a small shipment of Gulliver cribs in! Happy Day! We bought that sucker, came home and build it, added the crib mattress, crib sheets, blankets, pillows and it looks perfect.

Best moment last week: Baby Shower #1 was on Aug 25th. My BWWF (Best Weight Watcher Friend) was the hostess and it was so great to see all my old WW friends since I haven’t been to a meeting since I was about 4 months pregnant. Technically WW does not allow you to be a “member” while you are pregnant. We played the “decorate a onesie” and “guess Baby Osborn’s birthday” game, had great conversations, ate delicious food (see picture for Funfetti Onesie Cupcake), opened presents etc. I can already tell how much Baby Osborn is loved from everyone’s generosity. It was such a fun day!

Best moment last week: We met Baby Boy’s new pediatrician last Thursday (8/15). His name is Dr. Showalter and he reminds me of Todd (white, skinny and bald) except about 6 inches taller. We talked to him about vaccines, circumcision, dr visits in baby’s first year etc. When we mentioned that this is our first child but we have twin nieces, he said his sister had quadruplets! Whoa!! o_O Both Todd and I felt really at ease with him and we can see why he was recommended by our OBGYN, Dr. Chong. You can read more about Dr. Showalter (HERE). Doesn’t he look like Todd??

Best moment last week: Since Kaiser doesn’t offer 3D ultrasounds, Todd and I decided for our anniversary gift we would go to the third party ultrasound place to have it done. I found one in Buena Park (about 10 minutes from home) that wasn’t crazy expensive. Even though our ultrasound tech was really nice and patient, Baby Boy would not move! We saw his sweet face for a few moments but then he decided to flip and all we saw was the back of his head the rest of the time. Silly boy! Thankfully our tech offered us the option to come back (free of charge) on Aug 12 (when I’m 29 weeks) for better pictures. Awesome! We did take one picture home with us. I gave you a sneak peak on THIS post.
